The S&P Capital IQ UK Fund Awards 2012 was its inaugural event, recognising excellence within the Asset Management industry, held at One Mayfair, London.

The S&P Capital IQ UK Fund Awards 2012 was its inaugural event, recognising excellence within the Asset Management industry, held on Thursday 25th October at One Mayfair, London.

Our brief was to develop an awards identity that reflected the quality of the S&P Capital IQ brand and had longevity to ensure the awards could grow in stature over the years to follow.

We created an iconic trophy designed to reflect the hexagon shape new S&P Capital IQ brand, that was simple and elegant, made of acrylic and satin finished steel.

The 'This is the One' theme we developed for the event had resonance on several levels:

  • These were to be The One awards to be seen at
  • These were The One awards to win
  • This was the first One for the S&P Capital IQ UK Awards
  • The venue was One Mayfair in London

The awards invitation was innovative – a personalised acrylic tablet, reflecting brand elements and the trophy material, housed in a themed outer.

We built animated banners for the dedicated page on their website, including a 'countdown' page takeover. Print and online adverts were produced in the financial press announcing the event and nominees.

We maximised the drama of the venue at One Mayfair, using architectural features when applying the theme branding and the brand colours.

The drama built with animated footage projected onto walls in the foyer showcasing the awards branding, the trophy, shortlisted nominees and sponsor logos.

As guests arrived they were presented with a modern alternative to the traditional seating plan. Two interactive kiosks were installed to provide guests with the ability to touch the screen and see their table location.
